International waters - 5 Places With No Laws

As a matter of fact, the 12 nautical miles surrounding a country are regarded as national waters, and a further 12 miles out from that is a contiguous zone. Thus, if one were to drive past the 12 nautical miles, you’ll find yourself in the lawless land that’s international waters. Nonetheless, in genuine international waters, the Convention on the High Seas takes over, making things like piracy illegal. So no matter where you are on the sea, it’s still not legal to commit murder, and that’s just as well because you can still be prosecuted on land under Admiralty Law.

Slab  City

Slab CITY - 5 Places With No Laws

Last and not least in our list of the 5 places with no law is the city of Slab. Located about a hundred miles east of San Diego, Slab City is a free campsite and alternative living community. Previously an old WWII base, Marine Barracks Camp Dunlap, the campsite earns its name for the concrete slabs that remained long after the military base had been bulldozed and abandoned. The area is quite situated in the middle of the desert and its permanent residents wind up in Slab City due mainly to poverty. However, they might also have opted for this area because of the feeling of freedom that comes with living in such an uncontrolled and lawless zone.
